Workforce Group Hosts the Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme 2022

On Saturday, March 12th, 2022, Workforce Group hosted the 5th Edition of the Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme.  The programme is an initiative of Workforce Resourcing, the Recruitment and Assessment arm of Workforce Group. This edition was held at The Zone, Plot 9, Gbagada Industrial Scheme, besides UPS, Gbagada-Oworonshoki Expressway, Lagos.

About Top Talent

The Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme started in 2017 to bridge the gap between prospective employers and employment-ready top graduate talent without having to go through the rigours of the selection process.

This edition featured 29 qualified candidates, who went through different assessment exercises before they were adjudged to be among the best talent in the country from the thousand that apply to be part of the programme.

It also featured 6 participating organisations. They were GTCO, Mecho Auto Tech, Multichoice Nigeria, RainOil, Sahara Group and Tincan Terminal (TICT).  They were each given a booth where they set up their brand materials and also got to interview the candidates.

The programme started with an opening speech by Akindele Afolabi, the Business Director of Workforce Resourcing, who explained the history of the programme and its benefits.
Participating organisations were then invited to the stage to make a presentation of why their organisation is the best place to work.

The organisations then returned to their booth where they met with candidates of their choice. At the end of the exercise, they were able to identify candidates that they believe will fit into their organisation’s context. Previous Top Talent Candidates who were already working in the top organisations were also invited to the stage to share their experience going through Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme.

In the end, the participating organisations were impressed with the whole idea of the programme, the quality of the candidates they met, and the level of coordination of the programme.
