We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 2021 International Women’s Day Workforce Group Celebration on March 8th, 2021.
Workforce Group will present a live-streamed event for women all over the world to enjoy. Kindly find further details below:
Objectives of the event
Across the world, women stand at the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis as essential service providers, innovators, and as some of the most exemplary and effective business executives to effectively lead COVID-19 response and recovery efforts in their nations, organisations, and communities.
While some progress has been made in bridging the gender equality gaps, on average, women around the world spend twice as many hours as men doing unpaid work. In 113 countries around the world, there are still no laws to ensure equal pay for equal work among men and women and in most, women only earn between 60-75% of men’s wages – for the same work.
The International Women’s Day Workforce Group Celebration is a convergence of influential speakers and engaged audiences across Africa sharing how they choose to;
- Forge inclusive work cultures with a robust gender-equal reward system that addresses unconscious bias
- Build parity in emerging high-demand skills and jobs across all seniority levels.
- Increase the number of women in leadership, selected sectors and high-growth roles
- Close gaps in wage and remuneration to better connect equal pay and equal opportunities initiatives.
Invited HR Directors & Business Executives will share their journey of finding strength in adversity, comfort with uncertainty, and new opportunities to make a difference for women of the current workplace and girls of the future. Learn lessons, strategies and tips you can apply to your own life, career and business right away.
They will provide insights into how women can bring their experiences, perspectives, and skills to the table and the role of female professionals in making irreplaceable contributions to decisions, policies, and laws that work better for all across various professions and skills.
