Introducing The 2021 Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme

Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme
Graduate talent is one of the most sought-after and desired sets of employees by many organisations, for good reasons. They are young, ambitious, full of fresh ideas, technologically savvy, ready to learn and make an impact, and so on. Every year, organisations go in search of these young talents who they believe will be the future leaders of their organisation, driving their aspirations and turning their expectations into realities. They ensure that they get the best of the best out there, as this also gives them an edge over their numerous competitors. On the other hand, there are graduates who are making their first foray into the corporate world, having recently completed their mandatory NYSC programme. So naturally, they desire to be placed in the top organisations available in the country to achieve the career of their dreams. However, the corporate world is quite different from what they were used to, therefore, they would need to undergo intensive training that would educate them about the demands of the corporate world and how they can successfully navigate their way through to success. In essence, there are two sides to this.
  1. Organisations who are looking for the top graduate trainees to hire for their business,
  2. Graduate talents who are seeking opportunities to get into these organisations.
To bridge this gap, the Top Talent Graduate Programme was birthed.

The 2021 Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme

The 2021 Top Talent Graduate Trainee Programme is an initiative of Workforce Resourcing, the Recruitment and Assessment arm of Workforce Group. This programme, which started in 2017, aims to bridge the gap between employers looking to connect with brilliant talent, and these graduate talent, who have undergone a rigorous screening process and are certified to be one of the bests available in the country.  This is the 4th edition of the programme which has produced amazing talent for participant organisations over the years. This year’s edition promises to be even bigger and better. The programme is structured in a way that caters for both candidate and employer. It is divided into two parts. The first part features the sourcing, screening and training of the candidates. This process takes 4 weeks to complete. At the end of the process, these talents will join the league of extraordinary graduate trainees.  The second part features the career day programme. This will last for a day, and due to covid-19 restrictions, it will be a virtual event. Here, employers get the chance to connect with and hire from the league of the extraordinary graduate trainees who will join them to help them drive their short-term and long-term goals. This programme aims to give them a competitive advantage as they will have access to prescreened Graduate Trainees, who are one of the bests around. Many top organisations have benefited from this in the past, such as Nestle, Sterling Bank, UACN Plc, Cadbury, Guaranty Trust Bank, Nestoil, Lafarge Africa, Reckitt Benckiser, Leadway Assurance and Honeywell Group. The event will also feature pitches from both participating organisations and selected candidates, interview sessions and a whole lot more. The last edition of the Top Talent programme was a resounding success and both the participating organisations and graduates trainees had great things to say about it.
